Variety:

Applied to any sub-species to describe a particular type of mushroom.

Vector:

The particular pathway or vehicle by which a disease is spread or conveyed.

Veil:

The tissue covering the gills as they develop.

Vesicle:

A bulb or bladder-like shaped swelling.

Viscid:

Said of the mushroom cap or stem. Moist, stick,slimy or slippery to the touch when partially dry.

Vola:

The veil which remains as a bag at the base of the stem on some fungi.
