Lamellae:

The gills of the mushroom.

Lignicolours:

Growing either in or on wood or a substratum composed of or containing a woody tissue.

Lignin:

The organic material which with cellulose forms the basis of a woody cell tissue of plant walls and cementing material between them.

Linear:

Longer in length than width with the edges parallel (elongated).

Lubricious:

Having a smooth or slippery surface.

Lumen:

The amount of light emitted from one international foot candle.

Lux:

Unit of illumination equal to one lumen per square metre.
